Quick Answer

What is BI Checking / Collectibility Score?

BI Checking is the colloquial term Indonesians use for the Collectibility Score — the official OJK credit assessment recorded in SLIK OJK on a scale of 1 (current) to 5 (bad debt). Since 2018 the system is managed by OJK, not Bank Indonesia, so the official term is Collectibility Score (Skor Kolektibilitas). Every KPR, KTA or credit card application at a licensed institution checks this data. Check yours free via Skorlife or OJK's iDebKu portal.

The 5 Collectibility Levels Explained

OJK classifies every credit facility into one of five collectibility levels based on how many days you are behind on payments. Analysts at banks, multifinance companies and P2P lenders look at this number before every decision.

LevelStatusWhat it means
1Current (green)Never missed a payment. Best status for any credit application.
2Special Mention (yellow)1–90 days overdue. Credit still possible but may get higher interest.
3Substandard (orange)91–120 days overdue. KPR/KTA applications likely rejected.
4Doubtful (red)121–180 days overdue. Almost certainly rejected by all licensed institutions.
5Loss (dark red)>180 days overdue. Needs full repayment + 5-year wait for full recovery.

For most bank products, even Level 2 is enough to be declined. Mortgages typically require every facility on SLIK to sit at Level 1 for the past 6–12 months.
